You’re welcome but neither you nor anyone is going to make me anybody’s spokesman. Ive covered this as a reporter and I’m asking them questions about this still purely as a reporter. The union contract was in place long before this story.

They trusted DHS when they filed the charges. As the AUSA’s learn the facts, they’re dropping the cases.

DHS may not care that much because they were most concerned about the initial publicity.

It’s under 1-month union review. That’s required under the contract with the labor group that represents most WBEZ journalists (including me). Given that there was union representation on the panel that drafted the AI policy, it should be complete next month, I’ve been told.
