It's #WIPWednesday again. I'm about halfway through what will be a zippered notions bag. It's starting to feel more natural to knit with two yarns. I've chosen patterns with longer floats this time. #knitsky

Last picture from my frozen day at Grandview Beach. The remains of the lighthouse, whitewashed with ice. The gulls have hidden their beaks or legs, so I can't tell them apart. #photography #birds
Rip rap in the Chesapeake Bay that one was part of the foundation of a lighthouse. The water has frozen where the waves washed over the rocks, coating it all in ice. There are some gulls standing on the rocks and one flying towards them.

Two ruddy turnstones feeding on the beach. They are in an area that is clay with short brown grass that retains pools of water as the water recedes. A wave has struck the shore and sent up a splash. The birds' top feathers blend in well with their surroundings.

Grandview Beach and the Chesapeake Bay after a snowstorm. The beach has scattered sponges washed up on shore, then there is a layer of ice in the shallow water, the deeper water is open. The sky is blue and there is just a hint of clouds at the horizon.

#WIPWednesday Two more motifs done. I'm not gaining any speed yet, but I've finally managed a way to keep the tension on the two yarns the same. One more band of motifs, then I'll make the bottom. I've got plenty of yarn left to make notions bags and a smaller project bag. #knitsky 🧶

There were once trees where the beach is now - this is what is left of a root. #photography
Broken piece of tree root embedded in the sand and surf. There is seaweed draped along the top of it, hanging down over the sides. That seaweed is encased in ice, like frozen tresses.

The Chesapeake Bay is choppy where it hits a clay bank. The water has frozen where it runs back off the bank, making a short ice fall. An unidentified bird is flying away.
