I'm visiting Chile at the moment and on election day, I saw a beautifully democracy where most businesses close so people can vote (which is mandatory). Unfortunately the Nazi candidate just won the election... Hope the country's democracy survives.

Also hard to believe that 10 years ago I could afford to live in the center of Munich on less than minimum wage (PhD salary) and now a salary several multiples higher, I can barely afford to live in zone two London. Just goes to show how captured our economy has become by landlordism
