the affirmations were delicious but the manifestations lacked in Mouthfeel and Flavor

i think a lot of people working in the fields tech has taken over feel that squeeze right now.

i was in middle school when i watched the newhouses destroy a lot of local publications, including the one my mom worked at. watching the ineffectiveness of an outlet you once knew/loved turn into a clickfarm… that’s a really radicalizing thing… gotta be something else.

really encouraging to hear you say all of this becoz it’s reflective of a lot of the other convos i’ve had with folks, especially here in the midwest.

i agree that we’re heading towards more regional coverage also, just… the communications aspect of that in today’s media landscape gives me a huge headache.

do u think there is a solution to the infinitely vast amount of content streams these days // the dilution of substantive coverage that that creates? feels like to build a platform many of my journo friends are being asked to do too many things besides the community coverage they are good at.
