One of the best single step purification preparations of protozoan ribosomes I've ever seen. Combination of RAPPL (biorxiv.org/content/10.1...) and a new technique. More at rna.ucsc.edu/rnacenter/ri...

Ok after @cryoclem.bsky.social we also tried Archaeal ribosomes (and some proteasomes) with RAPPL (www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...) as well as some specific translation cycle complexes with new method.

After RAPPL (www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...) we found another way to get ribosomes and other macromolecular complexes easier to the cryoEM grids. This time besides ribosomes p97 complexes were purified (back to the PhD times). Stayed tuned...

We are down to 2.32A and 2.61A for these specific ribosome complexes using tandem purification using RAPPL and tagged protein enrichment. In this case it was and hour and 45 minutes prep and 20-50 ml bacterial culture.

More ribosome structures solved by RAPPL (collaboration with Pavlovic Djuranovic and Hashem Labs). This one is bacterial from 2ml culture and using method described in our preprint.
