Tbf, you can show people the reparations sketch from Chappelle's Show for context, and normal people are more likely to find "I'M RICH, BIATCH" funny. When I had 6-7 explained to me, it looked like this.

I wrote and published an entire book while in the deepest, darkest throes of depression. And I did it without using genAI of any kind, made my own cover without it, and am paying a human artist to redo it.

At my retail job, they have Microsoft people set up a table once a month with free coffee and snacks to entice people to come hear about Copilot.

The three times they've been there, I have yet to see a customer visit. Pure schadenfreude on my part.
