Boris Diaw was also on that squad and beyond drafting Marvin Williams over Paul, they picked Salim Stoudamire in the second round.

I have never been so stunning in all my days. The Hawks of that era would have been so different. I still have fantasies of Paul throwing lobs to Smoove, J-Chill, etc.

Forever etched in my brain, watching the draft while being in the AJC board with Sekou, Miss Dee, Manny T, and a whole bunch of other die hards. Everyone was holding their breathe that Paul would be there because he was the perfect fit and wanted to be in Atlanta. And then … they went big, again.
