Yeah, absolutely. But sadly some harshness is deserved.
Mainly CPUs aren't fun to play against due to being timer scamming scumbags and the online was HORRENDOUS.

I know they aren't any kind of generative AI. Maybe they say it because it's the same idea of "take someone's voice and synthesize it into new words", so they want to cover that base?

I mean, Taiko no Tatsujin (another Bandai Namco game) also has one of these because it uses Vocaloid songs and TTS in others. While there's still a chance it may have some, it's entirely possible this is some kind of overly-cautious mistake.

It's an alright game, I'll say, though the gimmicks with the stages might get in the way of truly enjoying it. (Although once you beat a song you unlock Free Play for it.)

I guess people didn't care about it because the only publicity it really got was that it was in a Nintendo Direct.
