Which treaty, specifically, did NATO break with Russia?
It's true that Ukraine started building up its army on Russia's border... after 2014, when *Russia invaded the first time and occupied a chunk of Ukraine*.
They thought Russia would come back for more. They were 100% correct.

I think the better abolitionists do at least put the vision out there which is valuable, but I think a lot of the work of actually getting us there is done by different people, and/or people who are sympathetic to abolition but don't make it their *policy* focus at this time.

I think your core argument - that language could be made more precise and that this can be useful - is broadly true, but I think since changing language is a very challenging coordination problem it only really changes if the utility is quite high. Does not seem to be that urgent to most.

Yeah people scoff over Russia attacking Ireland but Russia routinely attacks nations outside NATO (and periodically NATO members too, with hybrid measures) so that's extremely plausible, which is why the Irish military is taking it seriously and they likely know more than BskyPoster420 lol

If Mexico wants to rename the entire hemisphere to North and South Mexico they can do that I guess! If people find that compelling they'll join up. Good luck!
