This. When you downloaded TT you were opting in to short form content, and the app was built for it from the start. For YouTube and Instagram, you were there for something completely different and were forced fed short form content because they wanted to replicate the success of TT.

At this point I am praying it stays dead. Much better than it being resurrected as fascist, state sponsored social media.

This, I really hope it stays gone cause in any scenario which TikTok returns will have pretty concerning circumstances surrounding it.

I've found some success in using as a learning tool, usually when a teacher is not great. Can ask the same question a million times and in different ways and not feel like a burden. Though this comes with the understanding that the answers it gives carry some caveats. Shouldn't be used stand alone.
