My approach is, rather than trying to fix one drawing, when I finish a drawing I'm not super happy with, I try to think about why I feel that way. The anatomy's bad, the action feels flat, or the colours are dull, and so on.
Then I use those notes for my next piece, just so I can keep the pace up.
