It would be foolish to be hopeful about the Sabres

Something called an "Ice Bike" exists? It sounds like an 80s video game...

The main character's uncle notes that the Buffalo Bills were for a time "the only thing that gave the city a sense of hope."

*Cut to some annoyed Buffalo Sabres fan*

WildBrain gave theirs a nice send-off, unlike Corus.

I'm reminded my blog post about the state of Canadian animation outlets (cable/streaming) probably needs a new version... despite being written only three years ago.

Ah, the late 60s, when middle-aged writers clearly had interesting "views" of hippies/the youth movement. (The story's by Otto Binder, who was 58 when it was published in 1969.) Jack Kirby would take over the "Jimmy Olsen" title a year and a half after this story was published.

If I could visit Metropolis, I'd want one of those "I (Heart) Jimmy Olsen" T-shirts. Also a DCU Superman comic (and the other in-universe comics of Batman, Wonder Woman, etc.), a copy of the "Daily Planet," a Superman Museum souvenir, a DCU history book and atlas, and a stop at Big Belly Burger.

Yes, Abu Dhabi's changed a lot since Garfield's running gag started in the 80s, when it "sounded exotic/obscure" and "was far away"? Wikipedia says Abu Dhabi went from a quarter million people in the early 80s to a little over 2 million now. Its money boom = now a lot of stuff (theme parks, etc.)?

You can also hit "shuffle" on collections, individual TV shows, and playlists (playlists I mostly just use for music), so I can also use the collections as ersatz "TV channels" and have easy background noise (or to get a random variety of stuff, such as Looney Tunes shorts).
