DiverSea's @glauciaf.bsky.social joined @dtobioflow.bsky.social, SINTEF, and OBAMA-NEXT to visit the Munkholm buoy in Trondheimsfjorden.

The buoy, part of OceanLab infrastructure, has acoustic sensing, CTD, fluorometers, flow cytometer, plankton imaging, and more & will operate at least 10 years.

A name is a promise. It’s how we say: You exist. You matter. We see you. 🦈

The sandbar shark is not just a swimmer of the deep—it’s a sentinel of the sea. Red hornweed is not just algae—it’s part of a living network.

When you know my name, you begin to see my world. 🏡

Species like the white piddock and bioluminescent microbes may seem hidden or humble, but their names unlock their roles, their stories, and their place in our shared ecosystem.

A name is never just a name. It’s the beginning of a story, and the first step toward protection. 🧬

From long-snouted seahorses to delicate marine meadows, taxonomy gives life visibility. It connects the invisible to the unforgettable.🌊
