34 years today, 2 friends gone.

I heard about the accident but not the who, it was a month later on way back to Halifax from Gulf I heard the who, and I was gutted.

The odds 2 old friends, dive buddies and many adventures together shipmates from Nipigon would be the victims still hurts.

If I opened a fiction book that started with the headlines of today 10 years ago I would have laughed and thought "too over over the top" and not bothered to read it.

That obviously would have been a mistake

my feelings right now to the "pause". Feelings not logic.

When next Canada is in last min "negotiations with Trump over tariffs(really about being a 51st state), our PM will be less than a week left in office. The next PM will be viewed as a placeholder until an election.

Anyone that thinks that isn't a disadvantage is foolish

I am gonna be blunt, the gov should if they had a brain announce sub purchase and fund a good %, order the rest of the surface combatants (only 3/15 are), order tanks, order V (self and towed) , massive investment in AA stuff and drones (all types).

Make the defence budget 2% NOW with deposits

With no sarcasm or smart assery at all, domestic operations to support border security "could" IMHO include the single biggest branch of officers in the CAF. Some caution regards having them over Reg force or PRES members because of certain dynamics (sorry, but true), but there are MANY rolls

Posted this morning.

The reality is the end game for states is Canada as part of the US. Is very willing to harm US economy as byproduct of making Canada's economy no longer "viable".

This has been part of the plan all along.

Talking heads of the media in Canada that are saying "companies will just have to take lower margins" are fucking morons. There are hardly any industries that net margin that allows them to eat 25% margins.

Seeing so many folks say that Canada should invite blue states to join us instead.

Folks, understand one thing VERY clearly. That is all on war of the killing type. It US Civil War 2 and we would be choosing to be on a side

This is important to understand, because so many are speaking like every tariff is a simple calculation of "what it will cost after", when in fact it is MUCH more nuanced. Margins, market share, consumer price resistance, competitive advantage or not etc all play into how it plays out.

If you look, the secret was out there.

The RCAF never had a Squadron that used "RL"

It means "Restricted Lunar"

That is all

I suspect that the horrible accident in DC and the RCN accident in the basin share a common factor.

Night and many lights.

Pilot and majority of life at sea or playing with boats, knowing what is the "right" light or depth perception of at night when there are MANY other lights is a PITA
