Ben is awesome and Caleb has a great career ahead if he keeps listening to Ben.

I love Flacco. He’s so real. Still a Bears fan though.

Hey, I’m a lifelong Cubs fan too….much to the chagrin of my Sox fan grandfather. Bears, Cubs, Hawks. But then, I’m 5th generation Chicagoan.

I was. My then not quite 3 year old son insisted on getting his hair cut like McMahon’s. The barber looked at me & I said have at it. Jamie’s first multi-syllable word was “remarkable.” Remember that ad? Bears fan for life-my godfather played for the Bears.

I did the insanity of shopping on Black Friday with my 4 sisters-in-law ONCE. That was enough. I now buy few physical gifts, preferring experiences. Family memberships to the zoo, museums and the YMCA here www.shermanlakeymca.org

My gifts give all year

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Love this. I really need to get ambitious and try a pattern like this. I’ve only been knitting for 56 years.

He clearly doesn’t understand the concept of “legal vs illegal.” Why do I not find this surprising…..

My sister-in-law took our niece, nephew and their kids to see the house she lived in as a child in Aalsmeer this summer. People were amazed that she still sounded Dutch after nearly 70 years. I really would love to go. My parents loved it.

Do they even teach current events anymore? They obviously don’t teach Civics or US Government and apparently haven’t in at least 40 years.

Delilah (top) and Ollie want to know what the big deal is.

Didn’t we all? Somewhere I have a photo of my almost 42 year old son sitting on ours for his first haircut.

Wow. I can understand why. I’ve dyed my own yarn and fabric. It’s labor intensive.

He said he was tired of the pressure. He wanted to enjoy the game again. He did scout for a couple of minor league teams as well as working as a coach for development camps including at St. Mary’s in Halifax and the USA development team in Ann Arbor. But he’s not playing anymore (he’s 41).

My oldest son was a very good hockey player. Not NHL good but versatile. There wasn’t a position he couldn’t, and didn’t. He was supposed to play on the club team (WMU-last year’s NCAA champions) but separated his shoulder in practice. Once he healed he decided on the beer league instead.

You need to just respond: “I’m not weird; I’m quirky.”
