just kidding :) i felted this roving too badly when trying to dye it and now i’m brushing it back out with a pet brush and making rolags, rolling them off the brush with a couple pencils. this fluffs the fibers back up and holds them in a manageable aligned shape so i can spin with them again

and those are the thrifted embroidery scissors i got and my handmade nålbinding/tapestry needle :’) which i didn’t use to make this but i staged in the photo for dopamine increase

and then this beautiful vintage linen thread at the textile center for five dollars, where they’re always selling awesome used fibercraft stuff for cheap. so now i’m using it all to weave a little band I’m going to use on a small hand broom i’m making for the dusty coffee grinder area ;A; sooo lucky

thank u ;-; unfortunately I gave up on tylenol a lonngg time ago bc it never seemed to do anything for my neck pain.. i’ll prob re-try it again soon since nsaids are fuckin me up

and have been afraid to take any painkillers bc of the ulcer i got a couple weeks ago, which has since gotten better but i don’t want it to come back. hellppp

liiike using dried flowers, 100% WOF, simmered for an hour, dye bath as dark as grape cough syrup?? but after simmering scoured/mordanted shetland for TWO HOURS it came out only like the faintest shade darker, PALE 5% gray.. what the actual fuck dude. i’ll see if this corriedale is any better lmao

going to give it a quick scour to clean off some machine oil that got on it (😰) and set the twist, mordant it, n dye it with the rest of my black hollyhock dye bath which so far has sucked ass (idk why but despite being super concentrated it did NOT dye some white shetland roving i tried?? like wtf)
