Why? Because Tories on WSCC decided to freeze council tax for years and now has a deficit of £212M. They had to sacrifice someone, so cruelly chose dementia patients.
Who in their right mind would think that taxes could be reduced when the price of everything else is on the increase?

The local Highways Authority (WSCC) has recalculated the cost projections to make them look much more expensive, while at the same time the county’s budget deficit has ballooned.
This is partly attributable to lack of funding from central government.
