{Sigh} If it was as simple as there being an "originate" place... I do know that my Gooch ancestors were living in England before immigrating to the N.A. British Colonies, tho some inklings their ancestors moved around before known solid source documents... Also, patrilineal surname limits... 😁

Roswell, Georgia is a very friendly, diverse place at the southern end of the Big Creek Greenway, a 9+ mile walk/bike path through the woods by docile deer very close by... We are a typical suburb - strip malls, tasty restaurants and great neighborhoods! NM I don't know... should visit.
