I also do all my annotations in Zotero. I use standard colors across all texts (bring up in conference, I don’t understand this, I disagree with this, look this up later, and this connects to something from another class/text). I also use standard notations in the margins. Consistency really helps!

When I revisit an article and find that I have written a clear annotation, I’m always like “thank you very much, past me!”

When dealing with this type of dissonace, I look for thoughts from Science and Technology Studies (STS) scholars and thinkers who are outside the media and tech bubbles.

If you plan to work in libraries, try to gain experience in every department. Otherwise you will not understand the challenges your colleagues face and won’t be able to really communicate with them.

Totally agree. And I try to go further and talk about being able to work as part of a team as a kind of intelligence that is at least equal, if not more valuable, than domain knowledge.
