Mary's "Thank you" at 1:53 is a side of her which isn't talked about much, but is something I fell in love with.

She may turn the world on with her smile, but she can deliver a bitter, defeated line like nobody else, too.

Cheers Andrew. I find writing this stuff genuinely therapeutic!

Cheers!

I’m still not going to write your documentary for free, though.

I agree with this, with the proviso that you should allow yourself a pathetic passive-aggressive footnote in a blog post about it four years later.

But you could tell they were done from the final episode, which is just a clip show of previous “mythology” flashback shows.

The last season is probably the weakest, despite some standout episodes, and that’s what you want really, isn’t it? They wrung everything they could out of that setup, there’s no wasted potential.

Cheers Justin, much appreciated.

I actually think The Dick Van Dyke Show might be my favourite sitcom of all time. I can count on one hand the times the show has disappointed me, in 150-odd episodes. And I only saw it for the first time this year…

There’s a few bits and pieces to publish next month, but that’s essentially it for Dirty Feed this year in terms of proper pieces.

Thanks to everyone who has reposted, liked, commented, or helped research all this nonsense over the last year.

It IMPROVES for S7 thankfully, but I don't know what was wrong with it before!

On the plus side, the bath scene made me feel funny.

I have problems with Jennifer Saunders dressed as Noel Edmonds.
