I lurk and like things. Love art and game dev stuff.
Does that great work include taking 30% of devs' revenue at base except for big companies which get much better rates?

goes to show how much of a greasy motherfucker he is if the best one can say about him is "he's not a bigot" like damn way to pull off the absolute bare minimum Randy Bobandy

This is far more of a specific and contextual topic than "games are too easy" i'm referring to, that's a comical oversimplification and obviously isn't true. It's regarding the trend of companion NPCs with "nag lines" that comment on every point of interest.

i used to love Billy and Mandy and going back and watching again, I can't fuckin' STAND it. it's constant noise and screaming. shame bc I love listening to Gregg Mayles' dulcet tones
i can still fuck with Zim and Ed Edd n Eddy tho. maybe it depends on the creator and vibe

you're missing the point. why does it matter if someone who isn't engaged gives up and stops playing the game when you already have their money?

it not only doesn't accomplish what it sets out to do, it ALSO just comes across as obnoxious to people who /do/ want to engage with what you make! it's just shooting yourself in the foot at the end of the day.

if they're playing it you already HAVE their money. i'm not talking about free to play games here.

it's certainly been frustrating to see devs say more and more "sorry guys but we need to make our games shout out every thing and handhold every last point so that someone who doesn't give a fuck about it can sleepwalk through it"
like why pander to people who, essentially, do not like your work?
