That is superb. Really gives an impression of the size and stature.
We have a male merlin around our neighbourhood, it's always on the move along hedgerows or along the lane so never see it stationary but we do get fleeting close ups

Madame says - and in light of Rich's advice - use the mash as a potato quiche case in a dish (blind bake for 20mins) and then fill with all the other leftovers. Add egg/cream filling, then bake for 25 mins ish
