We don't even have to look that close. He would never ever be elected President because of his last name. Looks like it should be BUTT-A-GIG but you're supposed to actually say BOOTY-JUDGE?? Not gonna happen. I'm not joking at all.

I went to 2 universities for undergrad. Found classes significantly better at the ‘affordable’ public U (not even considered top academically) I attended compared to the expensive high cultural cachet private U. But the latter did have way more networking & “famous people” exposure.

Speaking as a family housing caseworker, it *was* absolutely worse than we expected in the short/medium term. There have been many damaging cuts we’ve been navigating or prepping for, but this one was not telegraphed at all. It’s going to be a disaster.

Originally was an academic who studied I think Uzbekistan's dictatorship, got some TV news spots as an "expert on authoritarianism" in 2016, then quickly turned into a manic Blueanon #Resistance grifter with a persecution complex. Clearly unstable person with a social media fanbase.

My MIL loves it. She claims just for the recipes and homespun 1950s lifehacks, not all that “politics stuff” (doubt.jpg). Incredible formula.

As a social worker who has spent the last 2 weeks trying to get extra food to families, I still think it's really important the Dems don't cave on this for nothing in return (as the rumor has it). I do agree it would be nice if more people here put their $$ (or time/effort) where their mouth is tho.

Totally. The 2025 ability to customize our environment, food, physical comfort, entertainment, social circles, media, etc etc, exactly to our taste & prefs is incredible even compared to 30 years ago. I think younger generations are fully unable to grasp this. Quietly a fundamental change in life.

PDX social worker here. I have had a really tough time tracking it, AFAIK theres no reliable archive or source. The abductions I’ve credibly heard were very targeted & in low traffic locations, nothing like the sweeps I’ve seen footage of in Chicago etc. TBF they just started ramping up here.

The one that gets me is “I’ve been wronged by society so am only going to work hard at my job when/if I feel like it”. Really is a generational tic in my experience. Even at decent workplaces.

You just made the firing part up tho. What was described is pretty standard guidance for any big retail store. It sounds robotic out of context, but when you have 300,000 employees you need to communicate specific & concrete guidelines so all 2000 or whatever stores have the same reference points.

I think people are misinterpreting the basic stats to make those claims - the median house mortgage payment in a given market might be higher than the median rent, but that doesn't tell us anything b/c the majority of high mortgage payment houses *aren't being rented out*.

I'm a huge Eagles fan and don't really see a problem w/this. "38th best player in the NFL" means he's like top 2%. That seems fair. We have a great team, & he's a great player who is a great fit. I love that we don't have to rely on him being flashy each week to win.

Yeah, I was just confirming. Honestly surprised it happened so quickly. My car is full of food boxes I picked up, gonna be harder to unload these now! Way too many… sweet potatoes.

FWIW many of my clients got their full SNAP benefits at midnight last night.

It's really not that obscure. She's an opportunist who is going to run for Senate and then sooner rather than later, run for POTUS.
November 7, 2025 at 6:49 AM
Yeah it was 100% my first thought too. Weird as hell.

What is your evidence for this? All the small visual details look correct. No artifacts. It was posted by major news orgs.

I don't think it's all that unusual though, or that it calls into question "personhood". In my experience (both personal life, & career in social services) folks w/delusional disorders very often lack or lose a fundamental self-awareness & ability to relate. It's really striking.

I'd be curious how much this varies from region to region, or especially by city. In a lot of urban markets I think we'd see an even steeper change.
November 6, 2025 at 4:21 AM
I thought the same, but unfortunately it's real.
November 6, 2025 at 4:14 AM
Can you recommend any articles or blog entries etc about this for the layperson? Not specifically this study, just the trend of landmark social psych stuff getting debunked.
November 6, 2025 at 4:08 AM
Yeah, while back I noticed I was on a blocklist of people who post AI generated stuff. But that's not a thing I'd (intentionally) do.

Wishcasting. He’s just doing his dumb scowl face.

If you're just looking for a classic cheesesteak in a convenient spot, Jim's on South Street is solid. Angelo's is great too but if you go during prime hours there will be a long-ass line.

People’s problem with you isn’t really your fairly standard politics. It’s that you’ve made a career out of being a smug troll, constantly saying shit in bad faith to generate engagement b/c your brain has been pickled in social media for years.
