i’m not even trying to defend the files here at all and they still want blood. i don’t get it man

my main consensus of it all is that the files were handled terribly, nothing that happened was the right thing to do.

all i wish for people is to stop being incredibly rude to my friends and me, especially when they act like they know all about us and who we "truly are". its disgusting

people dont need to believe a certain way about the book or anything like that, but people need to not get so genuinely angry about fnaf lore that they straight up think a whole group of people are evil and out to get the community

as well as people still not moving past the whole thing in general

like i said before it was all handled poorly from multiple people including myself. i can see why people got upset but the fact that i still see people to this day being vindictive about the whole ordeal is extremely bothersome and part of why none of us want to talk about it anymore

even if i did truly believe it was real, it wouldnt change anyones thoughts on it

even if i did truly believe it was fake, people would still be angry at me and my friends about this book

no matter what i could believe, people have made up their mind. thats not me deflecting, thats me being honest

i do know the origins of it, it was said to be an early copy of the freddy files that someone had swiped from a production line and kept in the persons private collection from working at the production line

all the info that made us truly believe it was real was due to private happenings that i still would like to keep private. none of this was done in an effort to try to fool the public on our parts, unlike how some people portray it as

this includes my infamous tweet about the situation as well

we said it was real because truthfully, in our heart of hearts, we believed it was real. we weren't intentionally trying to lie to people, or trick people, or make people believe in our specific theories. we defended it till the end because of this, along with our friend being attacked constantly

a lot of people didnt handle the situation well at all, including myself. but a lot of people on the outside took advantage of how much of a mess everything was and used it to get back at certain people, even to this day

its upsetting to see people still genuinely angry over this book lol

the people who eventually leaked it onto twitter also had it out for entom/our friend group at the time. i wont name names but i know exactly who made the "lakebb5" account lol. they did it intentionally to get back at us for "hiding lore" while not even understanding why in the first place

anyone who says we were trying to gatekeep out of malicious intent is either playing a game of telephone or truly does not know what they're talking about. the way the book even got leaked was from an ex friend who did it out of spite and an attempt to break everyone apart. it was a mess

since (at the time) the book used content that was seen in modern installments way before they originally existed, like emmett tucker, which made us believe that scott would potentially use more content from this book in future installments. revealing the contents may have ruined those installments

the reason why the book was kept secret for so long was not due to people wanting a lore monopoly or trying to influence the masses or anything conspiratorial like that

it was out of respect (at the time) for scotts story and not wanting to potentially derail the story he was trying to tell
