My sister and BIL are ~3 years older than you and they're always warning me that your early 40s is the threshold where things can get bad fast. (Speaking from experience, of course! They've had to make many changes.)

For sure, Mom's BFF is a slight woman who has had multiple back surgeries because she also has vertebrae issues. Sometimes, bodies are just assholes, no matter the size of the body you exist in!
Genetics are also a MOFO. That's why I knew I needed to lose weight. Lots of genetic heart disease.
