As head mod I just want to say thank you directly! It's important to me that a zine's branding reflects the character. Mel carries herself with elegance and is shown to be quite meticulous so any zine dedicated to her had to match that energy imo.
I'm happy that we've succeeded in that so far. 💛✨

Can I just say how genuinely amazing this zine looks? I've been following many Arcane zines for the past year and legitimately believe this is one of the best ones I've seen. The quality of all the previews and merch has been outstanding.

in my time here on bluesky, i've been very fortunate to have met @armoralor.bsky.social who has been an ally to many black fans on here - including myself. they have consistently spoken about racism, specifically misogynoir when others ignore our voices, with no hesitation. cont.

Last thing I'll say on this: a lot of people need to reflect and take a look around at their 'fandom friends' - who speaks up and who sits on the sidelines.
A lot of people tell on themselves by claiming that racism against a fictional character has no reflection on real life when it does.

Yesterday a popular jv artist openly mocked a Black woman for speaking out on racist tropes and white washing. Multiple Arcane fans on here liked the post, laughed along, and vowed to do more of what regularly causes Black fans discomfort, just to spite them.
No one has apologized.
