I did enjoy your story (as always). My own high school years were not the best, and I wouldn’t relive that time of my life if you paid me. Massive sympathy for Natalie and all the other kids like her. I can’t even imagine how bad it must be now with social media, cell phones, etc. 😔

These are always fun.

1. Butthole Surfers
2. Dead Kennedys (Jello-era)
3. Grateful Dead (Many times although I do not like their music)
4. Run-DMC
5. Lustmord

And yeah wow, Prince! That is super cool.

They are not kidding about Possum. I didn’t see the end coming and it really got to me. An excellent film if you can handle it.

Recently Matt’s original cover painting was on display near my place. Amygdala Gallery had a pop-up event at @bloodstonebookshop.bsky.social in Sacramento, “The Art of the Cover.” Lots of cool art from spec fic book covers was on display, and it was awesome to see Matt’s piece in person.

The “grandfather” in the barn from Laird Barton’s “Hallucegenia” messed me up real good. I’ve read and listened to that story many times and it always makes my skin crawl. More recently, the dad in Laird’s “Tiptoe” has a similar effect. Also Lady Midday from Gemma Files’ “Experimental Film”
