The one place where this is the case in the NFL is (I think) punts: a punt that goes OOB is spotted at the point where it crosses the plane of the sideline, not where it touches the ground

Greek will just make most loans neuter indeclinable (e.g., το Μίσιγκαν, του Μίσιγκαν) and that makes sense to me so I just went with that

The whole idea of an opinion columnist seems increasingly silly to me. To write as much as they do, on the wide diversity of topics, on very short deadlines... those requirements basically destroy the possibility of meaningful and thoughtful engagement. And then there's the problem you identify
