It’s Wednesday, which means CDC measles outbreak page is updated (for now; each week I’m more and more surprised it hasn’t been axed).

Not good. We’re going to have 12 months of ongoing transmission, and thus lose measles elimination status for the first time since 2000 🤦🏻‍♂️😢.

Summary of US measles cases in 2025. 1798, 26% under five years old, 40% 519 years old, 33% 20+ years. Importantly, 92% unvaccinated and another 3% under vaccinated.
