(3/4) #AnnoGram treats annotations as declarative, data-linked elements, not one-off pixel tweaks. That means GoG-style vis tools (ggplot2 / Vega-Lite / Vega, etc.) can support them natively with less code, less maintenance, more portability, and more consistency.

(2/4) Annotations (labels, color highlights, callouts, enclosures, connectors) are critical for highlighting key data features and guiding interpretation in visualizations. #AnnoGram is based on years of empirical work on how people design and use annotations in visualizations.
