Every human being deserves to live with dignity.
I ran it by the official arbiter of taste and she said it was ok.

Ok sure but seriously where are we on my sandwich?

I know that Cucky is too old to read his own social feed and doesn't care about anyone but himself anyway.

But you, the intern reading this? You should be ashamed of yourself. You have no value as a person and your parents shouldn't have had you.

Well, you started off with a straw man, so, *shrugging emoji*.

I can't think of a username I'm less interested in replying to.

We had 60 votes in the Senate in 2011 and it didn't even get proposed.

How many current Dem Senators are publicly in favor of it now?

I am not saying to withhold votes. We do need to vote blue no matter who.

But I want candidates who publicly stand for what's right, not just what's not-wrong.

You're right. And the ACA is better than nothing. But it's also horrible, and just gifted a trillion dollars to health insurance companies.

Universal healthcare is and was the stupifyingly obvious correct answer, and we deserve politicians who will make that happen.
November 10, 2025 at 11:24 PM
We'll find out soon.
November 10, 2025 at 11:21 PM
I get where you're coming from.

A lot of us think this whole system has been broken for decades. That the Obama and Clinton eras fucked us over the same, just more slowly.

I know you disagree with that. That's okay.

That's why we have to beat your constituency in primaries, to save America.
November 10, 2025 at 11:06 PM
It's not either/or!

Do you really think I didn't campaign as hard as I could for Kamala?

Elected Dems are NOT fighting Trump. Notice that they haven't led any protests, or stopped any of his crimes.

I will Vote Blue No Matter Who in Nov 26, but before that are primaries. And they matter.
November 10, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Lol I gotta admit, that's pretty funny.

But look -- it depends on where you live. I live in a completely blue district. I can't vote any harder or bluer than I always do.

Those of us with feckless blue reps need to vote hard in the primaries. Don't we?

We've all known this. There exists a good solution.

Hard disagree on point 4 right now.

The next election is the Democratic primaries.

If you're planning to support your incumbent, then I'm planning to fight you like you're a Nazi.

Pick a side.

Sober me is with you.

Whenever someone tells me to read a NYT article, I reply, "Let me know when it's published in a real publication."

If someone works at the NYT, ask them if they plan to transition into real journalism.

It's a rag. It has been for a long time. No one reads it and no one should.

I'm sorry, Sheila, but we need to grapple much harder with what Israel has done.
November 6, 2025 at 12:42 PM
I'm sorry you can't join us left-wing American Jews in celebrating a victory.

I'm sorry that you think Likud defines Judaism.

I'm sorry that you think flags and militaries have anything to do with our culture or history.

But we will make the world better for all people, despite you.
November 5, 2025 at 2:26 PM
You mean, you *hope* :)

I hope so too.
November 3, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Yeah. It's better to live in a society. But half of this country doesn't want to live in a society; they made that clear during Covid. They'd prefer a dog-eat-dog dystopia.

Fine. Let's fucking eat them.
November 3, 2025 at 7:25 PM
Yes, but all of our "protests" so far have been legal and nondisruptive. And no amount of that can bring a regime down.

At some point we're going to have to take to the streets and refuse to disburse; to disobey police and risk arrest or death. That is what it will take.
November 3, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Regimes never fall when we go outside with a permit and are home in time for dinner. They fall when we stay, and police order us to disperse, and we don't. And the military has to choose between killing us (Tianenman Square) or retreating (Tahrir Square).

And Rosa Parks was arrested. And King was arrested. And John Lewis was arrested. And the Occupy protest was illegal trespassing. And the BLM protests were illegal trespassing. And the Hong Kong umbrella protests were illegal. And the People Power protests were illegal.
November 3, 2025 at 2:40 PM
I'll reiterate: effective protests are non-violent, but illegal.
