Anime nerd and occasional Playdate game making person.
Although, to be fair, in that specific instance I had the idea of abusing one of the business card printing services that allowed a unique piece of art on the rear of every card to print a game deck, and the idea wouldn’t leave my brain until I executed on it.

I should probably pick the novels up given I have a loooooot of JNC credit going unspent right now.

It really shouldn't, kinda baffles me as well.

(I actually have a weird soft spot for the specific kind of reincarnation anime that involves a fantasy character being reincarnated back into the same fantasy world as opposed to the whole Isekai thing, but that's another discussion entirely)

That the OP ends with a conveyor belt of Interesting Mia Faces probably betrays a lot of the actual appeal, though, which is the protagonist making wild takes as the constantly spirals between Extremely Smug and realising that she is totally screwed.

I have also just tried this on a Win 8 install I had lying around and it does have the same behaviour as your first comment there, though. I don't have a Win10 machine lying around to try it on, so not sure if they fixed then reverted back over since.

The cheap stuff I used back in High School certainly did as they wouldn't have stored transaction history in order to determine the order in which it should apply transactions (i.e. whatever number was in memory + the latest operation). Maybe I was on the aggressively cheap end there, though.

It will in Programmer mode - I think Standard mode mimics the way a basic pocket calculator circa the early 90s would have worked, and probably makes more sense for most people without a dev background. I'm actually more surprised the Programmer mode *does* follow operator order.
