I hope so, but fear that may only be possible in Western democracies if both liberals (in the traditional sense not neoliberals) and anarchists are a part of that movement. Otherwise it is both electorally doomed and likely to repeat mistakes of Stalin and Mao if markets are made into a bogeymen.

It seems like this question is directed towards liberals, but neglects the legitimate concerns of anarchists. How do we prevent socialism from eroding democracy? Can there be a socialist party that does not lead us into another authoritarian dictatorship of the proletariat?
