She handed them to my coworkers and I, grabbing them from her bag at random. Sea turtle, shark, crab, etc. little pewter pendants on a cheap nylon string.

The one she gave me is in the image below. It hangs in my car mirror to commemorate my friend. I see it every day.

Don’t let my expression fool you - I did have a good time at the last renfest of the year yesterday with @prismgoat.bsky.social and a couple other friends, but man we coulda gone without the half hour deluge right as we walked in the gate.

Worth noting is the permanent smiling face molded onto the suit’s mask, which starkly contrasts Ellyne’s expression of frustration and embarrassment underneath. An unseen captor taunts her off-screen, musing if she actually enjoys her predicament because she isn’t trying hard enough to reach the key. (She is trying her best.)
