I found some tutorials and notes here and there, but nothing official. Is making a brew tap the recommended way, creating a just script or something else?

I tried using brew, distrobox, flatpak, ujust and finally rpm-ostree (which I understand is not recommended). I was also wondering if there is a wiki, guide or similar where I can find how to add apps that are not available in brew/flatpak and maybe how to contribute such recipes if that helps.

I'm wondering if I should use github.com/ublue-os/ima... to add some apps I use all the time and which need more integration than what flatpak offers (KeepassXC) or not available (SSTP VPN), just as two examples. Will the auto-update still work in that case?
