Was back in Scotland visiting family for a couple of days and stopped en route to Novacon in The Lakes last night. It's a mystical romantic beautiful land full of Barrel Aged Imperial Stouts and geese.

Missing all my Åland friends already. Great weekend, great location, and wonderful wonderful convention.

A view from our hotel balcony, looking out across an empty tree lined road. There is a marina with some yachts on the other side of the road, and sea and land beyond. A flag is flying in the breeze, the sky is blue, hardly a cloud in it. The sea is calm and blue and almost matches the sky on colour.

Nipped out at lunchtime some April sun. Got as far as Swanpool before time ran out.

Picked up a couple of my early science fiction zines at the fanzine giveaway table at Eastercon in Belfast last weekend to replenish my tiny archive.
Two issues of the A4 science fiction fanzine "...and stuff" lying side by side on a wooden desk. The one on the right has a black and white illustration of a ghost head haunting a motorbike rider drawn by Andrew J Wilson on the cover. The one on the left has a giant thumb squishing a man into a cow's backside; there is a wine glass under the cow's udders. This was created with Microsoft clip art by me. Both zine are held together by rusty staples.
