I read the director's cut is the same. This is what my version ends on. I remember seeing the original before and I agree with most internet curmudgeons that ending bleak is the way to go.

I think I have the final cut, but I can't tell the difference between directors cut and final cut. But the version I have is really nicely restored, and doesn't have Ford's voice over and these little touches elevate it

It has a lot of trippy sequences in it. I think it has some 70s paranoia in there too.

They will show it non-stop even though not one person on the team or the staff was there. So it's not like they've got some trauma to resolve. I have trauma. I was at that game on my birthday, and the quickness the Pats fans went from praying to yelling at me was a marvel.
