Slow af in winter. Never use the throttle. Pedal assist mode only. Motor only kicks in if your already putting effort in pedaling and there's levels of assist mode. 50 watts to the motor, 100, 250, etc.
I keep it on the lowest level assist. Think of it like a wind at your back assist.
