I'm an art hobbyist who likes to draw cute stuff. My current fave drawing media are oil pastels, chalk, and crayons, and my fave Pokemon is Pichu because he's cute.

I also recently got back into markers and modeling clay.

Thanks!

Like, I got an old shirt that I recently designated as a 'smock' shirt whenever I break out those media or even paints for that matter.

And to react to this quote for the kicks:

'Now... when you color and paste, DON'T make a mess like Mr. Paint Pig.
But, of course, you wouldn't do that, would you?'

- I like to use chalk and oil pastels to draw with, which are inherently messy media, so a mess is inevitable at that point.

Ooh, or even this one of Pichu, Dedenne, and Pachirisu playing in the snow.

-tend to draw from Scarry a lot more recently and didn't even necessarily realize it until looking through the post I quoted.

Granted Pokemon and also to some extent Hamtaro is also a pretty heavy influence of mine as far as how I tend to draw characters out (Sonic fanart is actually a fairly new thing to me while I've been drawing Pokemon fanart for well over a decade at this point), but content-wise I definitely-

(context: I've had some family members compare my stuff to Richard Scarry's work as praise, pointing him out as a potential influence)

Eg. in this drawing of Cream and the Chao twins making stepping stones for decoration around a mud puddle that Cream and Vanilla made for them, with Tails coming by to help.

She uses gouache a lot, but you could substitute poster paint, which is basically lower-grade gouache.
