Yes. My household is furious too.

There's that old half-remembered idea of all the trades-folk having different gods looking after their interests but thieves and police share the same god

Apparently, you can

Now, on a graph, let's see how far they've improved since Louise Nicholas in the '80s

Interesting to see how far they've progressed on this front since the Rotorua crew

Absolutely awesome. This was one of very few ways those of us who grew up in small-town rural Aotearoa were able to latch onto wider cultural movements ... and then search out some fabulous music and musicians

...mind you, I haven't checked out the new school curriculum yet <sigh>

Both.

In the '70s we thought pollution was going to be sorted by stopping single-point polluters (factories dumping into rivers etc). But once that was cleared up *ahem* we realised just how complex the remaining systems were.

But even primary school kids get that now!

As someone 'whacked' in both the '80s and '90s, I'll let you in on the secret to navigating this dodgy ethical space in both corporate and public spaces: Draft your correspondence using questions. Each sentence should end in a question mark.

An important skill to learn.

That one's not only gorgeous but doing the stones vertically, rather than horizontally... that's real commitment

It might be a mug's game but I reckon you're watching C-Span right now

Double glazing!

When I was growing up, NOBODY had it. Now it's pretty much mandatory.

This makes for healthier, energy efficient homes BUT it does come at a significant up-front cost which, together with other modern conveniences, adds many thousands to the build cost

Thinking about how this became a well honed part of the Trump routine - not just at the WH but also, and slightly amended, at MAL

But then remembered how many seasons of ritual humiliation were attended through 'The Apprentice' - and there's the wrestling thing too.

The decision to demolish USAID sits firmly with POTUS - Musk might've done it, but he was put in place, in part, for that exact purpose.

Where does this number of deaths position Trump against previous winners of the Nobel Peace Prize?

Gorgeous. I noticed the goldenrod sprouting in my garden last week, but never thought of it as an epiphyte which, upon reflection, of course!

I attended a tour of Auckland Botanic Gardens last year and noted they were looking at goldenrod as a useful perennial on the isthmus which, of course!

It does look at the moment as though the US is speed running the 1920s and through the 1930s - with a spreading of 1940s to add character

I ate similar amount of ham but missed the stitches part.

Have to put that down to equal parts Manchego & Rioja
