If you want to roleplay with a specific fictional character, then it's better to do it with someone who actually knows how the character would talk and act. AI can only really take info you give it, like background and personality traits. It can't know a specific character speech pattern.

I do prefer roleplay with another person, tho. It does feel like talking to another person instead of a bot making their answer to fit what it thinks you want it to say.

I think people find Character AI roleplay so appealing because the replies are instant, and you don't have to find someone who wants to roleplay a certain character or setting.
