Good to see that the full-time chasers still think red traffic lights don't apply to them.

If you want to see just how baddly the dials are cranked to the right on the twitter algorithm though, just make a fresh account. Nothing but right-wing blue check grifting.
Forgot to log back into my twitter account after disabling before the permanent deletion kicked in after 30 days lol. Remade to hold onto the handle since NWS ABR actually takes my reports from Twitter and that's their preferred method of reporting.

Got out of the Navy and had no idea what I wanted to do, and a VA rep gave me a flyer for a tech school for Wind Turbine Technician certifications that would be paid for by a government grant, and here I am busting my knuckles 365ft off the ground for 13+ years.

Twitter sucks but it is extremely funny right now so it's hard not to watch.

More owls for the timeline from my quick trip down to the lake this afternoon #birds #raptors

Checked in on the Long-eared Owl pair I found last weekend, one was in a completely impossible to photograph spot but the other was sitting on a stick at ground level. These owls are fairly tolerant so it allowed me to get close enough into a position for a semi-clear shot of it! #birds #raptors

Huh, so that's why he called it the "Big Beautiful Bill".

Dissapointed that there wasn't much structure to the aurora display tonight while I was out, but the actual brightness was at a level I don't think I've seen before. Comically bright, really. Hoping when the biggest of the 3 CME's hits tomorrow we get an even better show.

This is just renting with extra steps.
Trump and his cronies are now pushing 50-year mortgages.

Buckle up. This is going to make the 2008 mortgage crisis look like the good old days.

Managed to find this pair of Long-eared Owls this morning down at the lake. I've known this pair has called the lake home for a while now, but they've been extremely ellusive until now! #birds #raptors

Throwback to this Wilson's Phalarope shot I took back in June that I forgot about. #birds

Tonight my little Eastern Screech Owl friend down at the lake was the most cooperative it's ever been for me! #birds #raptors

Post a perfect album from 1989, a perfect music year.

One of my favorite Bad Religion albums and one of the best punk albums period.

The Red-breasted Nuthatches are out in full force, seems to be an irruption year for them. I've never seen so many of them here in Eastern South Dakota. #birds

My view of the McCook, NE tornado. One of my favorite individual intercepts, but I missed the tornadoes afterwards because I stopped at the farm house that it hit to help with search and rescue.

Got some shots of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) tonight. This is a fairly faint comet, so I made a stack of multiple shots to bring out more detail of the comet. I also used this opportunity to get a shot of the Andromeda Galaxy. Brave new world of photography for me lol. #astronomy

Always great to see an owl return to the same territory for the fall/winter season. This little Eastern Screech Owl gave me some great photo ops last year and it looks like it'll give me many more this year too! #birds #raptors
