Made camp last night in the dark. In the light of my headlamp there were thousands of glints of light that I first thought was dew. Nope. It was reflections from the eyes of thousands of big gray wolf spiders.

Right now, the south trailhead of the Ozark Trail is on a badly rutted dirt road which can be discouraging (hard to get someone to drop you off if you’re thru hiking). The new trail will make it much easier to get on trail.
