Here’s both!

AdGuard VPN is on the app store, and i’m using AdGuard on Safari (although i’m using brave still as my main, but thats more because of cross platform use)

So far the biggest things i’m missing is the universal back button and the number row on my keyboard. 2FA auto fill has never worked this well 😄

It’s a very industrial design where you either love it or hate it. Part of the reason i picked the base model was to avoid the design 🙈

My prior laptop that broke had an amazing OLED display, but the MacBook’s speakers and efficiency + performance absolutely won me over. The Mini LED display wasn’t too bad either, the higher brightness was a noticeable upgrade!

It all just kinda happened for me, got an iPad for notes, then my laptop died so i tried a MacBook and turns out macOS is just more laptop friendly than Windows (not to mention the hardware).

Then the 17 just took everything good from the Pros like the 120hz screen and i had to try it 😂

I try to focus on 2025 aired dramas, but if I don't have a good one/already used then I just pick from what I did watch this year.

I do hope I can return to Android in the future. An Android that is more bold, less willing to oversimplify and merely copy the competition without meaningful change.

I do have a lot to say on this, including Apple's psychological manipulation, which I will probably document here, but 👋 for now.

The iPhone 17 is not perfect, nothing will be for me. But it differentiates through their ecosystem features, both socially and multi-device, decent longevity, international-ness, privacy, and finally making the base model competitive with Android's best.

A base model without major compromises.

That leaves the Chinese brands, Xiaomi, Huawei, Vivo, Oppo and also Nothing. Nothing is trying to be a fashion brand without the quality. Huawei isn't present here. Vivo and Oppo are just copying Apple at Apple prices. Xiaomi's MIUI/HyperOS is fine on a mid-range, not acceptable on a flagship.

Google's Pixels were my other option. I've always loved Google's camera, however as they move towards Camera+AI, I can't stand it.

Tensor being mid even after TSMC is just sad, especially as the AI prowess of Tensor is just Google's servers.

Also that last Google event tho 🤢

Samsung has a ton of features, especially with Good Lock. But the longevity (lack thereof) was disappointing. It also doesn't help that OneUI doesn't seem to have any vision for their software, copying features from everyone without really differentiating. Not to mention the Exynos/QC flip-flopping.
