I’ve also been setting up hitbox reactions to specific body zones based on locomotion and physics velocity.

Like real kids, you’re gonna fall down a lot. Making that fun and part of the core loop is the key challenge.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's completely okay to kitbash asset packs and all of those sweet, sweet UE5 plugins while to try to make the game in your head take playable shape.

Find the fun, then make it cohesive later.

Outlaws isn't without its paradoxes.

The ship gameplay is great; it's curated to be experiential in an overall Star Wars sandbox.

But for the Trailblazer being centered in the story as a special ship... it is absolutely sauceless in appearance.

They really marketed Outlaws as this bleached, Disneyland/Galactic Starcruiser-ass depiction, but once you ditch Kay’s cosplay box art look…

This game oozes atmosphere.
