3/5 To identify the biological 'control knobs' of immune tissue, we utilized CD40L-induced B cell aggregates as a model system. We demonstrated that these structures function as liquid droplets, terming them B-Lymphocyte Organized Multicellular Blobs (BLOMBs). youtu.be/QAk2ayoVF0M

This means a lot to me. I was very worried that we'd never confront the reality of a (micro)generation of biology undergraduates who pivot away from the life sciences or grad programs as the circumstances become untenable. Please consider speaking to the youngest among us!

Different results in different labs looking at activation of heterotrimeric G proteins. Was traced to use of dispo. plastic tubes v. reusable glass tubes (Fl) washed with Alconox detergent (Al). This led to groundbreaking biochemical and structural studies, such as pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7969474/

We’ve got a good mix of exciting talks on various aspects of how RNA biology both influences and is controlled by tumorigenesis, and we’d love to have more folks join our effort to continue cross-pollinating these exciting fields! Abstract deadline is Aug 25th
