Top court rejects Denmark's bid to annul EU rules for minimum wage
Denmark sought to overturn a directive adopted in 2022 that would force member states to set a minimum wage. EU's top court has ruled against it.

Here’s a nice writeup about Denmark’s asylum policy:

Crucially, her impeachment was supported by her own party (Venstre - centre right). So obviously, after being released she set up a far right party.

I love her wikipedia bio though:

Temporary asylum has been done for ages in Denmark, leaves people in limbo despite complaints they do not integrate. As has confiscating personal property.

But even the Danes have limits, with a former immigration minister sentenced to prison for illegally separating immigrant families/couples.
Inger Stoejberg: Jail for Danish ex-minister for asylum separations
Inger Stoejberg faces 60 days in prison for separating young asylum-seeking couples in 2016.

Anyway, Labour new policy is simply a copy&paste of Danish immigration policy but bereft of the same political and cultural contexts.

Crucially, that move happened *before* far right really had a chance to become dominant, nipping its rise in the bud.

Therefore, the (anti-)immigration discourse is not really a main differentiator between parties.

That does not mean it is gone, as the Roskilde University 'scandal' shows.

First: Denmark is a tribe with clearly defined in and out groups. It was never as multicultural as the UK.

Second: The anti-immigration stance is pervasive to the whole political spectrum. It's tablestakes. When the far right showed up it made it easier for other parties to adopt similar discourse.
