I'm not a lawyer, but wouldn't doing this mean that defense lawyers have MORE access to the evidence, not less?

The thing I don't get is that... Lolita doesn't make pedophiles look good. It is pretty blatant about how horrible the narrator is and how his inability to understand the horror of his crimes against his victim (and his victim-blaming of her!) makes him an even worse person.
