It looks ridiculous in the best way. ### Star Wars: Galactic racer gameplay trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDBc-kbL-Ic Now THIS is pod-racing! And all sorts of other racing, too. And it's launching in 2026. ### 007: First Light story trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trvIyyFt_MM James Bond's origins from _Hitman_ devs is just a few months away now, and this new trailer showed off some of the storyline that 007 fans can expect from it. It's looking a bit like a playable Bond film. ### Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection Vol. 2 announcement Snake is back! _Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots_ and _Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker_ are getting the remaster treatment now. Death Stranding 2 bridges the gap between PC and console
_Death Stranding 2: On the Beach_ , the long-awaited sequel to the first Strand-type game, is finally building a bridge between console and PC. Set to drop on March 19, _Death Stranding 2_ will let players complete the saga of Sam Bridges, a man caught up in a mysterious and strange world where the line between life and death has been erased. This was announced during Sony's first 2026 State of Play, airing at the time of this article. Kojima Productions initially launched the game last summer as the final entry (so far) into the _Death Stranding _story. It picks up some time after the end of the first game and follows Sam Bridges as he travels across the Land Down Under, connecting Australia to the Chiral Network and establishing a link between it and what remains of the rest of the world. _Death Stranding 2_ is one of the best stories ever told in video games, much like the first gamer was. Image via Sony _Death Stranding 2_ is more cinematic and epic in scale, focusing on gameplay over cutscenes that had become Kojima's staple in prior games. Our Sr. Staff Writer, Scott Duwe, gave it a 9 out of 10, highlighting the game's incredible emotional impact, refined gameplay, and incredible graphical fidelity that set it apart from most games released in 2025, and certainly from PlayStation 5 titles. It's one of the best games I have ever played, and while it's not as revolutionary or culturally impactful as the first one, it's still a sight to behold, refining Kojima's storytelling formula that should become the staple of video game narratives. _Death Stranding 2: On the Beach_ launches on PC on March 19 after a period of PS5 exclusivity that the first game adhered to as well. How to complete Industrial Cleanup in No Man’s Sky
The Industrial Cleanup is a new mission in _No Man's Sky_ you can complete as part of the Remnant update. This quest will introduce you to all the new items that have been added. These items will allow you to process industrial waste like never before. If you're a beginner, you'll have to reach the Anomaly and gain your Exocraft. If you're someone who has already completed the prerequisites, read on. ## No Man's Sky Industrial Cleanup quest walkthrough For starters, you have to reach the Anomaly. There's a new expedition available at the Anomaly, but we will avoid that for now. Instead, take the path that goes upwards from the left of the Nexus, and you'll find several traders. Screenshot by Destructoid You'll need to purchase and complete the construction of the following three blueprints. * Cyclops Scope * Excavation Blade * Gravitino Coil Once done, head back to your base and go to your Colossus. Install the Cyclops Scope and the Excavation Blade on the vehicle. Install the Gravitino Coil module in your multi-tool. The next part of the task is to process five high-value wastes. A marker will automatically show the location. You can also use the Colossus to scan the waste. I have found most of the waste on planets that have Sentinels and salvage. Next, we have to head to a Waste Processing Plant. This unit might be located in a different system, but it will have a quest marker. Test the Gravitino Coil over there, and pick up the waste to put into the machinery at the plant. Doing so will get you the Flatbed Chassis Module. Image via Hello Games You'll now be able to customize the looks and feels of your Colossus and put the Flatbed on. The Flatbed allows you to haul and put different items on it. Now drive the Colossus (with the waste on it) on the marked square at the plant. Use the Colossus to dump the materials and complete the processing (do all of it together). Image via Hello Games The next bit of the quest requires you to find and process specific quantities of industrial waste. You can use the scan function on the Colossus to find the waste, and then haul it on the Flatbed. Once you've the necessary quantities, drive back to the plant and empty the Flatbed. Once the unload is complete, interact with the terminal to complete the processing part. The post How to complete Industrial Cleanup in No Man’s Sky appeared first on Destructoid.

Is Destiny 2 shutting down?
_Destiny 2_ has been hemorrhaging players, and Bungie hasn't figured out how to stop the bleeding. Fans may be wondering if the game is shutting down due to the plummeting player count and maybe even the studio's focus on _Marathon_ , seemingly overshadowing its attention to _Destiny 2_. In fact, the game's player count paints a bleak picture, no matter how you look at it, with all-time low player counts being more of the rule than the exception. There's also an expectation among parts of the gaming community that a game will shut down if it's not successful enough—driven, in part, by the fact that expensive games that aren't big hits _do_ get shut down. To make matters trickier for Bungie, the studio is trying to juggle two different IPs, seeing major changes in leadership, and seemingly still feeling the ripples of two voracious waves of layoffs within a year in 2023-24. But that doesn't mean _Destiny 2_ is going to die, at least not for now. Here's what we think about the game hypothetically shutting down. ## Why Destiny 2 is (probably) not shutting down We'd say this was the beginning of the end, but it's more like the middle. Image via Bungie **Bungie hasn't officially said _Destiny 2_ will shut down, **and given its importance to the studio, it's unlikely the game will be sunset overnight. _Destiny 2_ is still, presumably, a money-maker for Bungie, despite a huge share of the studio's chips lying in _Marathon_. From a financial perspective, the in-game Eververse store appears fuller than ever, with new sets coming in relatively often, so the company clearly continues to invest in microtransactions. Maybe a bit too much, like when Bungie pushed a would-be Iron Banner set into the EV Store for Silver. The weakness lies in the gameplay side of things. The changes from _The Edge of Fate_ seem to keep _Destiny 2_ operating with as few resources as possible, likely due to staff being assigned to _Marathon_ or laid off altogether. The Portal was quite a miss, the expansion's campaign was lukewarm at best, and there just doesn't seem to be enough new in _Destiny_ —in quality or in quantity—to keep players coming back. That said, if there's anything _Destiny 2_ players have demonstrated over the years, it's that **they'll keep coming back** as long as Bungie makes it worth their while. It's a peerless, almost unexplainable devotion. There will always be demand for the game as long as the studio does more hits than misses—and that's the tricky part. ## Is there still hope for Destiny 2? One of Destiny 2's biggest comebacks in recent history—and maybe the last one. Image via Bungie This might be one of the most difficult, divisive questions for _Destiny 2_ fans. At its core, there is nothing that can compete with it—so much so that the only thing capable of killing _Destiny_ was _Destiny_. It does take a unique breed of special to keep players invested in a franchise for 10 years. It takes even more to make fans stick around after turbulent times such as _Lightfall_ , Season of Plunder, Echoes, Heresy, and the Year of Prophecy. On the flip side, Bungie burned through a lot of player goodwill over the past few years, asking them to tough it out through bad releases, unpopular measures, and avoidable mistakes. It's hard to blame those who left a while ago or those who just threw in the towel. There's very little margin for error, and that's a bad enough situation to be in—but it's even worse when your playerbase is fractured and scattered. Comebacks are some of Bungie's biggest strengths. _Forsaken_ is still lauded as one of the best moments in _Destiny 2_ , and the same applies to _The Witch Queen_ , Season of the Seraph, and Into the Light. Digging itself out of this quagmire, however, requires consistent, consecutive greatness. Passable is just another shovelful of sand on the game's imminent grave. It's not looking good for the developer, though: the next major update, Shadow & Order, is likely facing a delay at a time when there's almost no incentive to log in. Asking to wait might drain the last slivers of goodwill from its fans, so anything that happens after that must be at least excellent to hold the game together. How many players does Destiny 2 have?
_Destiny 2_ players are becoming rarer and rarer by the minute, with player counts plummeting post-_The Edge of Fate_. There might be some hope on the horizon, but the number of players actively logging in is quite concerning. Though there's no easy, official way to see _Destiny 2_ 's player count, third-party applications can draw from API data to provide an estimate of how many guardians were in the game at a given point. One of them takes data from the Bungie API itself, while another draws from Steam. Here are the methods we use to check _Destiny 2_ 's player count, whether you're looking to watch the decline or have a little hope for the future. ## How to see Destiny 2's player count Unsurprisinly, Equilibrium was one of _Renegades'_ most popular activities. Screenshot by Destructoid There are a couple of different ways to check _Destiny 2_ 's player count, and they depend on what information you'd like to discover. Fan-made website popularity.report gathers all sorts of historical data on the total playerbase since 2017, so it's a good source if you're looking for a holistic approach. This handy website also lets you see the player count for multiple activities, which is perfect for figuring out what the most popular spots are—in other words, what's keeping _Destiny 2_ players still engaged and what's probably not worth matchmaking into. If you're looking to compare the current playerbase against specific moments in _Destiny 2,_ here's a list of the major expansions and updates released since 2019. Due to the number of seasons, we're excluding them from the list, but these periodic releases used to dictate the ebb and flow of guardians in-game. Expansion | Release Date ---|--- **_Shadowkeep_** | Oct. 1, 2019 _**Beyond Light**_ | Nov. 10, 2020 **_The Witch Queen_** | Feb. 22, 2022 **_Lightfall_** | Feb. 28, 2023 **Into the Light** * | April 9, 2024 **_The Final Shape_** | June 4, 2024 _**The Edge of Fate**_ | July 15, 2025 **_Renegades_** | Dec. 2, 2025 *Into the Light was not an expansion, but it was a huge update, and it's widely considered one of _Destiny 2_ 's finest moments. These dates provide an easy baseline for your calculations, for instance, when comparing the decline after _Lightfall_ or putting expansion launches against each other. ## How to check Destiny 2's concurrent players If this keeps up, every playlist will be Solo Ops. Image via Bungie Though popularity.report shows daily data, you can get some partial, to-the-hour numbers from SteamCharts and Steamdb.info. They only display the player count for Steam, which is a microcosm of the total number of guardians in-game, but you can use it as a baseline and extrapolate from there. The trend is somewhat similar across all platforms, so if Steam players are going down, it's fairly safe to assume the same is happening on consoles as well. These two websites been collecting statistics since October 2019, when _Destiny 2_ arrived on Steam in _Shadowkeep_ , giving us years of data to revisit for comparisons. They're also our go-to choice to measure players during the first hours of major content drops, such as expansions, seasons, and events. Regardless of your choice of website, the data paints a grim picture about _Destiny 2_ 's player base, which started to plummet after the disappointing release of _Lightfall_ and hasn't truly recovered since. The slowdown after _The Final Shape_ , the episodic format, and the release of _The Edge of Fate_ all marked turning points for the worst. State of Play global times: Where to watch and when
This year's first State of Play broadcast is upon us, set to air today, Feb. 12. Sony has recently revealed all the broadcast details to the world, so here is everything you need to know. ## When is the Feb. 12 State of Play? The State of Play is airing today. Screenshot by Destructoid The first State of Play broadcast of 2026 is set to air on **Feb. 12 at** **2pm PT, 4pm CT, 5pm ET, 10pm BST, 11pm CET** or **Feb. 13 at 7am JST** for those across the other, bigger pond. It's going to be over one hour long, potentially containing some of the biggest releases of this and maybe even the next year. We already compiled a comprehensive list of games we would like to see (and what we are most likely to see) in another feature by our amazing Scott Duwe. Some notable examples include a new _God of War_ title, a release date for Insomniac's _Wolverine_ , and maybe an announcement of a _Death Stranding 2_ PC port. We could also get some news on Naughty Dog's _Intergalactic_ , more _GTA 6_ stuff, or new announcements of Xbox ports since that seems to be Microsoft's jam lately. All in all, it's probably going to be one of the biggest State of Play broadcasts in recent memory. As for where the State of Play can be watched, your best bet would be PlayStation's own **YouTube **and **Twitch channels**, as these are likely to have the least delay and lag compared to third-party broadcasts such as **IGN's**. We all knew ARC Raiders struck gold. But the actual sales put most AAA blockbusters to shame
As soon as I got my hands on _ARC Raiders_ , I knew it would be a smash hit. In fact, I knew it'd be a hit the moment I watched jackfrags' video on it many months prior to release. Something about it spoke to me immediately, and it turns out it spoke to many others as well. But I never would have imagined the game to become as wild a success as it did, selling over 14 _million_ copies in just over three months, placing itself above and beyond most modern AAA blockbusters that have been profusely bleeding fans over the last few years. This comes via Wccftech, who pored over Nexon's recent financial reports, where they highlighted record-high profits, largely propelled by _ARC Raiders_ itself. In a very rough estimate, that'd mean _ARC Raiders_ earned some $560,000,000 out of Nexon's overall $3.1 billion. An extremely impressive number, and one that does not include all the money it has earned via cosmetics, which could genuinely be not that far off the sales figure. _ARC Raiders_ revolutionized the extraction shooter formula, and it sure has paid off. Screenshot by Destructoid The numbers are also a bit surprising. _ARC Raiders_ is an extraction shooter, a genre that has had many attempts but few successful entries into the mainstream. However, that didn't stop Embark Studios from captivating a massive audience by leaning toward more casual players and refining the overall experience to fit in with the average Jane and Joe, rather than reserving itself only for more hardcore types like _Tarkov_ did. It also had quite a lot of competition at the time of its launch, what with _Battlefield 6_ and the latest _Call of Duty_ launching around the same time. I understand their audiences likely don't overlap much, but I'd dare say that _BF6 Redsec_ could've fared better if a better, alternative, and similar experience wasn't around. It remains to be seen how _ARC Raiders_ will fare in the future, but considering its rock-solid player count and very slow decline (as all live-service games experience until they hit a stable average), I feel we're going to see a lot more of Speranza and the topside. How to play Roadside Research with your friends
Co-op title _Roadside Research_ is now live on early access, and it's an adventure best shared with your buddies. While there's a single-player mode that lets you enjoy the content alone, _Roadside Research_ can be enjoyed in co-op up to four players. Whether you're playing via the Xbox Game Pass or using Steam, inviting your friends is a simple task. ## Table of contents * How to co-op in Roadside Research * How many players can play together in Roadside Research ## How to co-op in Roadside Research For simplicity's sake, I will assume that you're hosting the game. Create a new save that you want to enjoy with your buddies. Single-player saves can't be used when playing with other players. Once you load into a co-op save, press the Escape button. You can now invite your friends. Screenshot by Destructoid If you're on Steam, you need to add your friends on the platform. The same rule applies to those playing via the Xbox Game Pass. If one of your friends is hosting a game, choose Join Friend. You'll get the option to join them on a shared session (assuming they're hosting a co-op save). That's how easy it is to play co-op with your friends. Make sure that the person hosting the game stays online for the session to remain active. ## How many players can play together in Roadside Research _Roadside Research_ can be enjoyed by up to four players in the same lobby. Of course, having four players is not necessary. For co-op, having a single buddy is enough. However, the more the merrier, I suppose. While there's no matchmaking, you can use the official Discord to find other players looking to play together. Simply add them on Steam (or to your Xbox friends list) so that they can join your save. The Division 2 Bloody Valentine event guide
It's the month of love, and you can participate in _The Division 2_ 's Bloody Valentine event to get some amazing rewards for free. The event has marked the return of the Bloody Houndsman Mask, Gloves, and Backpack. If you're a veteran, chances are that you've already completed the event in the recent past. The core event has retained the same structure from the previous iteration. Let's find out how you can get all the rewards by completing the event. ## Table of contents * How to get the Bloody Houndsman outfit in The Division 2 * The Division 2 Reanimated Global event explained ## How to get the Bloody Houndsman outfit in The Division 2 To obtain the Bloody Houndsman outfit, you have to complete an exclusive bounty available in the Bloody Valentine event. The Bloody Houndsman has returned with his Mini Warhounds. These are smaller versions of the actual warhounds, which are dangerous to take down. Image via Ubisoft The Mini Warhounds are far less dangerous, but they move fast. They also have defensive abilities and will give you a small window to take them down. If you manage to defeat a Mini Warhound, you'll get a Bloody Houndsman bounty. The bounty isn't a guaranteed drop, and you might have to defeat a few of them. The Mini Warhounds don't have an exact location, and you'll come across them randomly on the map. Image via Ubisoft Once you've obtained the bounty, you'll find out the exact location of the Bloody Houndsman. Start the bounty, defeat him, and you'll find all the rewards. A part of the outfit is also tied to the new Reanimated Global event. ## The Division 2 Reanimated Global event explained The Reanimated Global event has been given some unique twists as part of the Bloody Valentine theme. You'll be able to use the seasonal modifiers, which are the different companions. The event will run for two weeks, and the rewards have been changed. You'll obtain the Broken Hearts Seeker Mine Skill VFX at tier five, and the Bloody Houndsman Uniform at Tier 10 (part of the complete outfit). Instead of the green gas headshot effect, you'll now see a romantic trail when you shoot an enemy in the head. This will be consistent for the duration of the entire event. Well, it looks like Highguard is on life support – ‘This one really stings,’ says one laid-off dev
As many probably expected, _Highguard_ 's development studio, Wildlight Entertainment, is seeing significant layoffs amid the game's less-than-stellar performance. One developer shared that "most of the team" has been let go, but the studio itself said only a "number" of non-essential developers were affected. "Today we made an incredibly difficult decision to part ways with a number of our team members," the studio said on X. A "core group of developers" will remain at the company to "continue innovating on and supporting the game." This implies only non-essential workers were let go, perhaps even contractors, while the game is supposed to continue chugging along at the same or slightly lower pace. https://twitter.com/wildlightent/status/2021745168387596450 This is a little different from what level designer Alex Graner said in a LinkedIn post preceding the official announcement by Wildlight. "Along with most of the team at Wildlight, I was laid off today," Graner wrote, saying this particular layoff "really stings" as the team has crafted tons of content that will probably never see the light of day (or, at least, won't be seen through to release by its creators). From how Graner puts it, Wildlight Entertainment seems to have shed a lot more staff than what its post on X would have us believe. A "number" of non-core developers is in stark contrast to "most of the team." At any rate, a major restructuring has happened internally, and only time can tell how _Highguard _will turn out. Recently, I tried to look at it from a more positive perspective. I thought maybe Wildlight would retreat into the shadows, performing its due diligence and perhaps turning the tide around, much like No Man's Sky did after falling from 200,000 to 1,000 players (that one is still getting major updates, by the way). However, it turns out I was dead wrong, or maybe this is a necessary move to ensure long-term plans are put into motion. We'll see. How to get infinite coins in Mewgenics
Having coins in _Mewgenics_ is immensely useful as it allows you to get different items from the shop, but they're available in limited amounts. However, there's an easy way to make an infinite amount of money practically. No, I am not talking about any exploits or glitches, and this method is part of the game itself. While the method takes a fair bit of time, you can repeat the process to get as much money as required. ## How to get infinite money in Mewgenics The key to getting infinite money relies on two unique cat skills. * You'll need a cat with the **Pickpocket** spell. The spell allows you to steal 1-3 coins from a unit, and reduce its Damage by -1. * You'll also need a cat with the **Copycat** spell. This spell allows you to copy the most recent spell of an allied cat. * The remaining two slots will be filled by your strongest cats who can win a battle on their own. Next, start a battle in the easiest area/zone. The easier the battle, the better it is. Your two strong cats should do the major portion of the damage. They should also absorb as much Damage as possible. Use a few healing items if the situation gets difficult. First, use the Pickpocket spell on the cat with Copycat. You'll steal 1-3 coins from them, but the reduced DMG is redundant. Next, use the Copycat spell on the cat that has Pickpocket. That allows you to get more coins. Don't worry, because you're not stealing each other's coins. Image via Edmund McMillen You can pickpocket on any of your two other cats, but that will reduce their DMG. You can do this once or twice, but don't keep abusing the spell since it will weaken the cats who have to fight the enemies. It's also beneficial if you keep a single enemy alive. Doing so will allow you to Pickpocket and Copycat for more turns. Kill the last remaining enemy to return successfully, and you'll get plenty of coins from your run. Of course, the amount isn't 'infinite' in the literal sense, but you can keep doing this method for as many time as you want. It takes a bit of time, but you'll never run out of coins on your adventure. The post How to get infinite coins in Mewgenics appeared first on Destructoid.

How to unlock Pluto in Disney Dreamlight Valley
_Disney Dreamlight Valley_ often has secret prizes you can earn by navigating through long quest series. Mickey's trusty hound Pluto is one such reward, and he's by far one of the trickiest animals to find and meet. If you're eager to get this pup at your side, you're going to have to put in quite a lot of work to make it happen. Recruiting him is a long process that requires you to check off many different missions along the way, so here's **how to unlock Pluto in _Disney Dreamlight Valley_.** ## Table of contents * How to get Pluto in Disney Dreamlight Valley * Unlock the Lady and the Tramp Realm * Unlock Lady and Tramp * Complete The Spaghetti Incident quest * Feb. 18 quest * Feb. 25 quest * Acquire all Mementos * Complete The Memento quest ## How to get Pluto in Disney Dreamlight Valley Screenshot by Destructoid Pluto is a **quest reward** **Companion **granted after completing a series of missions in _DDV_. He was added in the Feb. 11 update and **won't be officially obtainable for a few weeks** , as new **missions tied to him are releasing on a weekly basis.** We'll provide updates here as all details surrounding his unlock process become available. So far, here's everything we know you need to have done to recruit him to your valley. * Unlock the **Lady and The Tramp Realm**. * The door to this Realm can be found on the top level of the Dream Castle near the right corner. * Unlock **Lady and Tramp**. * Complete the Canine Courtship quest. * Complete The Jailbreak quest. * Complete the Meatballs quest. * Complete the Critters and Compassion quest. * **Feb. 11** – Investigate some tumbling spaghetti in **The Spaghetti Incident** quest. * **Feb. 18** – Visit the home of a beloved canine villager to sniff out some mysterious meatballs. * **Feb. 25** – Watch closely to find some fishy tomatoes floating around the valley. * Revisit some magical **Mementos** you've acquired throughout your valley adventures. * **The Secret Journal**. * **The Kaleidoscope**. * **The Birthday Party Invitation**. * **The** **Nostalgic Instant Photos**. * **The New Comfort Bear**. * Complete **The Memento** quest. ### Unlock the Lady and the Tramp Realm Screenshot by Destructoid The first step in this process is to **unlock the Lady and the Tramp Realm**. If you have all other Realms unlocked, it'll cost you **13,000 Dreamlight** to enter this one. The price may vary from this if you don't have all other Realms open, as the pricing scales based on how many doors you've opened. ### Unlock Lady and Tramp Once you've entered the Realm, get to work on all quests you get there to**unlock Lady and Tramp**. There are three missions you need to work through to unlock Tramp, and one additional one to recruit Lady. ### Complete The Spaghetti Incident quest After getting the iconic dog duo in your valley, check your mailbox to spot a letter from Merlin. This letter will trigger **The Spaghetti Incident quest**. Travel over to the Dream Castle to find and get rid of the rolling spaghetti balls all around. Proceed through the rest of this quest, which essentially just asks you to find and clean up additional balls around the valley, to move on. Screenshot by Destructoid ### Feb. 18 quest The next mission you'll need to get done to unlock Pluto unlocks on **Feb. 18** , so we'll add it here then. This one asks you to visit the home of a canine villager to find some mysterious meatballs. This villager is likely Tramp since the first quest involved Lady. ### Feb. 25 quest A third main mission for unlocking Pluto drops on **Feb. 25**. This one will focus on finding some mysterious floating tomatoes around the valley and seems to be the last spaghetti ingredient we'll have to deal with. ### Acquire all Mementos When it comes time to actually get Pluto, you'll need to have **obtained all available Mementos.** There are **five** of them from your past adventures, plus the **Well-Loved Dog Collar** you found during the Meatballs quest with Lady and Tramp. Here's how to get each one. * Unlock Jasmine, get your friendship with her to level 10, and complete her Wild, Wild Wishes quest to claim **The Secret Journal**. * Unlock Alice, get your friendship with her to level 10, and complete her A Very Merry Unbirthday quest to claim the **Kaleidoscope**. * Get the **Birthday Party Invitation** by working through the A Guide to Better Castle-Keeping quest with Cogsworth and Lumiere in the _Beauty and the Beast_ Realm. You have to have both Belle and the Beast unlocked from the same Realm before you can recruit these two. * Unlock Cinderella, get your friendship with her to level seven, and complete the A Dream Come True quest to claim the **Nostalgic Instant Photos**. * Unlock Joy and Sadness, get your friendship with both characters to level 10, and complete the Create A Bear quest to claim the **New Comfort Bear**. Screenshot by Destructoid ### Complete The Memento quest Once you have all of the Mementos besides the Well-Loved Dog Collar, Merlin will send you some mail to start **The Memento quest**. All you need to do for this one is meet up with him and chat about the strange items you've acquired. There's more to be revealed with the unlocking process for Pluto, but many of the key steps are already known, so you can get going on them to ensure you're ready to recruit him as soon as he's available. We'll update this guide with all the latest details as they become available, so check back here weekly to work your way through the next steps. How to get Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree in Disney Dreamlight Valley
As you work through the many quests you're given in _Disney Dreamlight Valley_ , you'll often be tasked with obtaining mission-exclusive items like the Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree. These kinds of resources are tough to locate since they're only available during certain quests. During Lady's Canine Cuisine mission, you're told to find Purple Fruit, but not given any additional hints or details for where it's located outside of a mad tree. There are loads of trees around the valley and DLC worlds, so figuring out which one this quest is referring to with the minimal information you're given is pretty difficult. Here's**how to get Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree in _Disney Dreamlight Valley_.** ## Table of contents * Where is the Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree in Disney Dreamlight Valley? * Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree in Disney Dreamlight Valley ## Where is the Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree in Disney Dreamlight Valley? Screenshot by Destructoid The Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree can be **found by theCheshire Cat's tree** in _DDV_. For the purposes of the Canine Cuisine quest, you're looking for the house version of his tree, not the one you can visit in the _Alice in Wonderland_ Realm. Most villager houses can be freely placed anywhere in the valley, with a few exceptions like Mother Gothel, Maleficent, or Jafar, since they live in key landmark spots that cannot be moved. The Cheshire Cat's house, though, is a home that can be put anywhere you like. This can make finding the Purple Fruit rather tough, as only you know where you chose to put this trickster feline's home. DLC worlds like Wishblossom Ranch, The Storybook Vale, and Eternity Isle are valid locations, too, so you might need to venture to one of these spots if that's where you chose to place him. I have the Cheshire Cat set up in Teapot Falls over in The Storybook Vale, so when hunting for the Purple Fruit, I had to travel over there to obtain it. If you aren't sure where you put the Cheshire Cat, check the map of each world you have to find his icon. Unlike most other villagers, he's almost always home, so if you spot his icon on the map, there's a good chance he's marking this tree for you. ## Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree in Disney Dreamlight Valley Screenshot by Destructoid At the Cheshire Cat's mad tree, you're looking for a **dark red and purple-tinged fruit** somewhere on the ground nearby. The Purple Fruit has the exact **same shape as the Dreamlight Fruit** that grows on trees in the valley after completing Simba's Seed of Memories and The Dreamlight Grove missions. You only need one Purple Fruit for the Canine Cuisine quest, so you'll only spot one on the ground near the tree. If you don't see it, try moving some nearby furniture around, as it may spawn hidden behind items or tucked away in corners, depending on what you have placed nearby. Using Furniture mode to get an overhead view of the area may also be helpful if you're still struggling to locate it. The fruit also sparkles when you're decently close to it, so be sure to keep an eye out for that, too. How will co-op work in Subnautica 2
_Subnautica 2_ 's latest trailer has given a glimpse of how co-op will work in the upcoming title, and you'll be able to share your experience with your buddy. Unlike the two older titles, _Subnautica 2_ will have complete support for co-op. While you can survive the isolation on your own, you can also bring a friend with you. Let's look at how co-op will work and how bringing a buddy will be advantageous for the two of you. ## Subnautica 2 co-op explained _Subnautica_ and _Subnautica: Below Zero_ were single-player experiences. All decisions you made in the game were entirely dependent on your decision-making. _Subnautica 2_ will have the same features available for the players, but a co-op mode will also be available. Co-op in _Subnautica 2_ won't be like how it works in _It Takes Two_ or _Split Fiction_. It will be optional, but there's native support. All party members will be playing in the same shared world. However, the players will be free when it comes to making in-game decisions. They can engage in the same activity or decide to do something else. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYGcagswya4 In essence, players will be able to convert their single-player worlds to multiplayer. Doing so will allow them to retain their progression for co-op. However, you can also create a new world to enjoy the game in co-op. Thanks to cross-platform support at launch, players using different systems will be able to play together. There will be a few co-op exclusive features in _Subnautica 2_. * A two-seater Seaglider * The Dive Elevator will help to transport players and equipment from the deep depths, allowing you to save plenty of time (and maybe, your life if you're about to run out of oxygen) While everything looks fantastic as of writing, we have yet to have confirmed information about the launch date. _Subnautica 2_ is expected to be out in early access later this year. Canine Cuisine quest walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Lady and her beau Tramp have finally moved in as official villagers in _Disney Dreamlight Valley._ Something isn't quite right with Lady, though, and it's up to you to help her feel better and get settled in the Canine Cuisine quest. As soon as Lady begins to feel comfortable in the valley, some unexpected chaos unsettles her, so you have to work on making things right again. There are some tricky components to this one, so here's a **complete walkthrough for the Canine Cuisine quest in _Disney Dreamlight Valley_.** ## Table of contents * How to complete Canine Cuisine in Disney Dreamlight Valley * Go inside Chez Remy with Lady * Have some fun with Lady around the valley * Gather the Ingredients for the Doggy Donut ## How to complete Canine Cuisine in Disney Dreamlight Valley Screenshot by Destructoid ### Go inside Chez Remy with Lady To get things going, **follow Lady into Chez Remy** , as something there is bothering her. Turns out, she's just perplexed that the establishment is run by a rat, and starts barking at him as soon as you get inside. She won't stop, so head back outside to help calm her down. ### Have some fun with Lady around the valley Back outside, your new goal is to have some fun with Lady to help de-escalate the situation.**Follow Lady** to a new smell she picked up over in the Peaceful Meadow. Then, chat with her to see if she's feeling any better. She is, but a few more activities will help even more, so keep hanging out with her and working through the tasks that pop up. There are three mini missions you'll need to check off to move on: * **Dig for bones** – Dig up three special Dog Dream Bones around the Peaceful Meadow using your Royal Shovel. These spots have a golden glow and a fairly large white bone sticking up out of them. * **Fetch villagers their favorite gifts** – Give three requested items to villagers as presents. You need to give at least one item to three different villagers to finish this task. * **Feed a cute bunny** – Feed a Rabbit something it likes or loves. You can find Rabbits in the Peaceful Meadow region, and they love Carrots. If you don't have any on hand, you can also give them a liked item, including spices, herbs, grains, and vegetables. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you're done with these three tasks, **meet up with Lady** to chat and see if she's feeling better. She's ready to give Remy a shot and apologize for her earlier behavior, so **head back to his restaurant** to check in. **Talk to Lady** once you're inside to give her a proper introduction to Remy this time around. She's calm now and apologizes for being skeptical of Remy, explaining that it's because there was a mean rat who tried to hurt her owner's baby. While you were away, Remy found a recipe Lady might enjoy, so it's now time to get to work on it. ### Gather the Ingredients for the Doggy Donut There are four ingredients you need to get for the Doggy Donut recipe. These items are as follows. * **Purple Fruit fallen from a mad tree** – Can be found on the ground around the Cheshire Cat's house. The exact location of this tree varies depending on where you previously chose to place it. Mine is located in Teapot Falls over in The Storybook Vale, so I had to travel there to obtain it. * **Wheat** – Can be grown from Wheat Seeds, which are available at Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome for one Star Coin. He also sometimes has some grown Wheat available for three Star Coins. * **Peanut** – Can be purchased from the pantry at Chez Remy or Tiana's Palace for 200 Star Coins. * **Egg** – Can be purchased from the pantry at Chez Remy or Tiana's Palace for 220 Star Coins. _This guide is a work in progress and is receiving live updates as we work through this quest._ The post Canine Cuisine quest walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley appeared first on Destructoid.

If you encounter this issue, there's an easy fix. Navigate to the **Events** page, select the**Valley Valentines event** tab, and click the **Quests** drop-down menu right under it. Scroll through the list of missions until you spot one that has a **purple icon background** instead of a blue one. This is your daily quest, so track down the character featured on it and chat with them to start the event quest. ## How many Valley Valentines quests can you complete per day in Disney Dreamlight Valley? You can only **finish one Valley Valentines event quest each day** in **DDV**. A fresh one unlocks every day at**5am** in your local timezone, so logging on daily for the duration of the event is crucial if you want to tackle them all. ## Valley Valentines event rewards in Disney Dreamlight Valley There are two main event rewards you earn along the way, plus a special event item that can be gifted for a friendship bonus. Here are all of the available prizes you'll get as you work through it. * The **Sparkling Hearts Photo Frame** is a reward for finishing Cupid's Best Assistant. It's a frame you can apply in photo mode. * The**Red Valentine Petals** are a prize for completing Cupid's Confections. It's a special VFX furniture item you can place anywhere in the valley. * **Heart-Shaped Chocolates** are granted as a prize each time you finish a daily quest. This item can be gifted to villagers for a solid friendship boost. Screenshot by Destructoid ## How long is the Valley Valentines event in Disney Dreamlight Valley? The Valley Valentines event is available to complete from **Feb. 11 to 25**. It's a fairly short one, with only two weeks to tackle everything it entails. 2026 is the first year we've gotten it, but it'll likely become an annual occurrence like all other seasonal events, so if you miss out on anything, you can expect to get another chance at it in 2027. While you're working through this event, be sure to also keep an eye on the Paw-fect Romance Star Path, as it's running alongside it. This event has plenty of other tricky tasks you'll want to tackle so you can claim even more rewards. Some missions you might encounter and need to get done are chatting with a villager named after a flower, crafting a large elixir, selling green veggies, and mining for black stones. All upgrades in Mewgenics and how to get them
_Mewgenics_ has several upgrades tied to the different NPCs that you can unlock on your adventures. Upgrades in _Mewgenics_ come in different types, and there's relative freedom in terms of what you want to unlock first. The process of unlocking different upgrades is also unique, as they're tied to all the NPCs. Let's find out how to obtain all the upgrades. ## Table of contents * How to unlock all upgrades in Mewgenics * Which upgrades should you get first in Mewgenics ## How to unlock all upgrades in Mewgenics The table below has all the information you'll need to unlock the various upgrades. NPC | Requirements | Upgrades ---|---|--- Butch | You'll need to submit cats that have reached new zones. While the requirements are easier at the start, they increase as you gain access to more zones. Butch always takes cats in batches of 20 (and they must have taken part in battles across the previous zones). | You can increase your inventory space with the upgrades. Having the extra space will enable you to store more items without having to send them to the trash. Baby Jack | You have to submit cats that have injuries. The injuries could have been a result of battles, or your cats might have fought in the home | Baby Jack will offer different furniture for you to acquire. The list of options goes up as you get more upgrades. Dr. Beanies | If you have a cat with mutations or birth defects, you can submit them to Dr Beanies. He also accepts cats with disorders and parasites, and you have to submit in batches of five. | Dr Beanies will provide you with Invention side quests, which will fetch your loot and coins as rewards. However, you can have a maximum of five of these quests at any give point in time. Frank | You have to submit your retired cats to receive the upgrades. Retired cats refer to those who have completed an adventure (area/zone doesn't matter). | Frank allows you to expand your house by unlocking more rooms. The more rooms, the more cats you can keep. Tracy | Tracy only accepts cats that are five years or older. In simple words, you'll need to submit cats that have advanced through five or more daily cycles. | You'll get more purchasable options at her shop. These can be collars, unique furniture, or a food storage box. Tink | Tink will only accept kittens. Getting kittens is relatively simple as long as you have cats who will mate with one another. | Breeding the best cats require information that you won't have at first. Getting upgrades from Tink will help you to get more data about your cats. This will include information like their sexual orientations, libido, and more. The Mystery Man | Some of your cats will die in battles, and The Mystery Man will help return some of the items you have lost. He also does the same if a cat dies in your home. | Getting the upgrades will fetch you more items in return. Steven | Steven requires you to clear specific zones. | Breeding the best cats requires information that you won't have at first. Getting upgrades from Tink will help you to get more data about your cats. This will include information like their sexual orientations, libido, and more. ## Which upgrades should you get first in Mewgenics Image via Edmund McMillen The first set of upgrades to go for will be the ones offered by Butch. Items play an important role, and you'll find plenty of them. Your inventory will fill up pretty soon, and increasing the inventory space is important. Secondly, getting upgrades for Frank and Tracy is also important. Tracy offers some valuable items/options in her shop, which include the colourless collar. Having a larger home is a necessity after the early game, and that's where Frank's upgrades come in handy. The post All upgrades in Mewgenics and how to get them appeared first on Destructoid.

Abyss Money Farm Guide – Best Gun & Tube Progression
I'll show you both how to farm money in Roblox Abyss throughout the early, mid and late game as well as how best to spend it. This means that we'll go in depth on farming cash and the best Gun and Tube progression to spend it on. Here's my **Abyss money farming and best Gun and Tube guide**. ## Table of contents * How to Farm Money in Abyss * Abyss Gun & Tube Progression - Best Way to Spend ## How to Farm Money in Abyss Below you'll find a list of the best ways to farm money in Abyss ordered from early game to mid game and lastly late game. Focus on Diver quests first and then go from there: 1. **Diver Delivery** : You can find the Diver in the Ocean area next to the sunken submarine near the path to the Ancient Sands (A little while behind Bestiary Richard). He'll offer delivery quests for money and Star Shards which you can farm. You're looking to **farm 5,250 for the Boat Tube** and then do the later ones too (For Crossbow Gun). This is the best way to make a bunch of cash early besides selling fish from the Forgotten Deep and Ocean (Sell any mutation fish you find). 2. **Ancient Sands Farming** : This area is the best for mid-game farming since Blackfin Tuna, Scorpion Fish and Groupers sell for a lot, especially with mutations. I recommend you farm Diver Quests and Ancient Sands fish or lower until you have **Boat Tube and Crossbow Gun**. Then you can focus much better on Ancient Sands farming and selling. 3. **Quests** : Once you have Boat Tube and Crossbow Gun focus on doing quests for Marcus, Mr Black and finish up Diver delivery quests. In conjunction keep farming Ancient Sands for Blackfin Tunas, Scorpion Fish and Groupers and hope for mutations. 4. **Spirit Roots** **Fishing & Questing**: For late-game farming, Spirit Roots will be the best due to massive spawn rates which results in more mutations. **Farm Sunfish** and **Napoleons**. Also, do a bunch of quests here for Isolde, Lumi and Golem for drastic bursts of cash. 5. **Whale Farming** : Last but not least, one of the best Abyss money farming strategies late-game is to farm Whales in Spirit Root. You can't catch them, only kill them for Whale Meat and Heads (15% drop). Whale Meat sells for 3000 to 10.000 cash per unit. Once you kill one and loot it, you can hop to another server to search for more whales since they have a long respawn time on a single server. ## Abyss Gun & Tube Progression - Best Way to Spend Now that you know how to farm money, here's how to spend it optimally for the best Abyss Gun and Tube progression. Below you'll find a list of Tubes and Guns in order of how you should purchase them. In general, I would always go for Tubes first since they're more worth it to allow for better progression and movement. Buy a Tube from the next tier first then buy a Gun from that same tier and then back to a better Tube, rinse and repeat. > **Tube Progression** > > 1. Old Tube > Normal Tube > Pufferfish Tube > Boat Tube (Crucial for early-mid game farming) > > 2. Zepline Tube > Oxy Tube > Lost Spirit Tube > > 3. Bath Tube (Generally better than Ruined for more fish and if you have Angler's Cave access) > > 4. Ruined Tube (Faster but only better than Bath if you have Sell Anywhere gamepass due to lower fish capacity) > > > > **Gun Progression** > > 1. Beginner's Gun > Advanced Gun > Crossbow Gun (Crucial for early-mid game farming) > > 2. Wasted Gun > Magroot Gun > Lost Spirit Gun > > 3. Ruined Gun (A great late-game gun option with the highest attack speed) > > 4. **Plunger Gun** (Duck Quest gun option with more damage but less attack speed) > > 5. Both Ruined and Plunger are great for late-game (Buy only one unless you're drowning in cash) > > That's it for my Abyss money farming guide and best Gun and Tube progression. Check out our **race tier list** for more Abyss guides. The post Abyss Money Farm Guide – Best Gun & Tube Progression appeared first on Destructoid.

All answers to the Academy quizzes in Mario Tennis Fever
The Mushroom Tennis Academy isn’t just about on-the-court skills. In _Mario Tennis Fever_ ’s story mode, you’ll eventually need to test your knowledge in a classroom. Professor Toad will ask you a series of questions, and you have to answer them correctly to get your sticker and move on to the next assignment. There's a total of five quizzes you'll need to ace before you can move on to the next rank, and each one has only three questions. Here are all the questions and answers for each quiz in _Mario Tennis Fever_ 's Adventure mode. ## Table of contents * All Rank E quiz questions and answers * All Rank D quiz questions and answers * All Rank C quiz questions and answers * All Rank B quiz questions and answers ## All Rank E quiz questions and answers All the questions in the Rank E quiz cover the game’s various shot types, like a Flat or Topspin. In case you were snoozing during Toad's lessons, though, we’ve got the answers to each question the professor will ask below. Screenshot by Destructoid Screenshot by Destructoid Screenshot by Destructoid * **Question 1:**   “Which shot has a high bounce?” * **Answer:** Topspin * **Question 2:**   “Which shot doesn’t have much of a bounce but does curve to the side a lot?” * **Answer:** Slice * **Question 3:**   “Which shot doesn’t really rotate but does move really fast?” * **Answer:** Flat Once you’ve answered all the questions correctly, Toad will give you a sticker of a tennis ball commending you for your efforts. From here, you’ll need only two more before you can move up to rank D and take on tougher opponents. After receiving your sticker, it's time to venture back outside for another practical test. Head to the practice court where a blue Toad will teach you a "special shot," the Star Shot. ## All Rank D quiz questions and answers Rank D's quiz covers player types, like Technical, Defensive, or All-Around—which isn't something your lessons have covered up until this point. Player types names can be quite self-explanatory, though, so Professor Toad's questions shouldn't trip you up too much. But in case you want to double check your answers before embarrassing yourself in front of Baby Luigi, we have you covered. Screenshot by Destructoid Screenshot by Destructoid Screenshot by Destructoid * **Question 1:** What type of player has a strong shot by is slow on their feet? * **Answer:** Power * **Question 2:** What type of player can be confident in their speed? * **Answer:** Speedy * **Question 3:** What type of player has the widest reach? * **Answer:** Defensive After correctly answering the final question of the Rank D quiz, Professor Toad will reward you with a flower sticker. Just like with the Rank E quiz, you'll need two more stickers before you can progress to Rank C. ## All Rank C quiz questions and answers Thought you were done with the classroom, didn't you? Guess again! This is a _school_ , after all. The Rank C quiz will once again test your knowledge of player types, so if you struggled with the last one, you better hit the books. Or you could, you know, cheat off us. * **Question 1:** What type of player is skilled at hitting curve shots? * **Answer:** Tricky * **Question 2:** What type of player has a nice balance of offense and defense? * **Answer:** All-Around * **Question 3:** What type of player is good at hitting the corners of the court? * **Answer:** Technical ## All Rank B quiz questions and answers Rank B is a bit of a special quiz in that it's a two-parter. The first part covers shot types, much like the Rank E quiz, and when to use them. The second part of the quiz is all about courts. And no, none of that was actually covered in the lessons, which is probably why you're here. ### Part one * **Question 1:** What shot should you use when you need to get back to the center of the court? * **Answer:** Slice * **Question 2:** What's a good shot to use when your opponent is up close to the net? * **Answer:** Lob * **Question 3:** What shot should you use when your opponent is pulling back from the net? * **Answer:** Drop shot ### Part two * **Question 1:** On which court does the ball bounce the lowest and move the fastest? * **Answer:** Grass Court * **Question 2:** On which court does the ball move the slowest, making it easy to keep a rally going? * **Answer:** Clay Court * **Question 3:** On which court does the ball have a good balance of bounce and speed? * **Answer:** Hard Court * * * For more guides on how to give yourself the competitive edge in _Mario Tennis Fever_ , check out how you can unlock all Fever Rackets and playable characters.
