Implement measures into their everyday life, so it does not eat up ressources (time, money,..).
E.g. public traffic system instead of car...
Implement sustainable ressources, like renewables.
And: reward positive ecological behavoir and punish for negative behavior.

But especially in school this was more a discussion about a feeling, the vanishing beauty of nature, rather than a vital threat for our civzation.
